Scrum Alliance versus Scrum.org
I’ve been hearing a lot about discussing the subject of Scrum Alliance versus Scrum.org, and, honestly, I find it amusing. 🤔
Why, you might ask?
Well, simply because I don’t see why it has to be an ‘either/or’ situation! 🤷♂️
Scrum Certification: It’s About Choice 🎯
Although it’s important to remember that the Scrum Alliance is the original Scrum certification body, and Scrum.org, while a newer entrant, is a valid alternative.
However, the critical point is that all certified instructors teach from the same Scrum Guide. This uniformity means you’re certified against the same body of Scrum knowledge, no matter which organisation you choose. 📚💡
So, why the divide? 🌉 Why can’t it be a ‘both/and’? If you’re taking my Certified Scrum Master (CSM) course and want to pursue the Professional Scrum Master (PSM) exam, then the choice for certification is yours. Isn’t that fantastic? 👍
While I can’t certify you as a PSM, I cover the majority (if not all) of their learning objectives in my course. You’re free to take the exam with either organisation and honestly, I believe that competition and choice are beneficial for students. 🚀🏆
In the Scrum world, we have great PSTs and equally impressive CSTs. We can all work together, driving growth and fostering understanding.
We all benefit from good competition, so let’s focus on collaboration over competition, shall we? 👥💪
Join me for my upcoming Agile and Scrum courses to learn more. Let’s navigate this Scrum journey together! 🎓🌐
Scrum Alliance is the original Scrum certification body and Srcum.org is not considered the new kid on the block either, but they’re an alternative. 🚀
