In traditional #projectmanagement environments, a #projectmanager will do their best to plan effectively and delegate work in the most efficient and effective manner possible.
Sometimes, they may get outranked and a senior #projectdirector or senior #manager within the environment will insist on something being included in the #project and increase the scope of the project at will.
#agile attempts to do away with this tendency by being clear about a #backlog and a #sprintbacklog. The thinking is that anyone can add to the backlog but it’s the #scrumteam who get to decide what gets included in the upcoming #sprint.
Does it work that simple in real life? Sometimes. In this short video, John McFadyen explains who has the final say in what gets included in the #sprintbacklog and how that works in practice.
